22 May 2025 – MEASAT Global Berhad (“MEASAT”), Malaysia’s premier satellite solutions provider, has signed a Term Sheet with Boustead Technology Sdn Bhd (“Boustech”) to formalise a collaboration between both companies to support the Malaysian Armed Forces’ satellite needs. Boustech is a wholly owned subsidiary of Boustead Holdings Berhad, a Government-Linked Investment Company (GLIC) controlled conglomerate. Boustech plays a strategic role in advancing defence and technology-based solutions that support national priorities, including secure communications and digital infrastructure development for the Malaysian Armed Forces. In the longer term, the two companies will also explore next-generation capabilities to serve the Future Force of the Malaysian Armed Forces via a new satellite launched and operated by MEASAT.
