23 September 2026 – Eutelsat and MEO, Portugal’s leading telecommunications operator, today announced a new partnership agreement to expand the delivery of Eutelsat’s OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) connectivity services in Portugal. Under the agreement, MEO will integrate Eutelsat’s OneWeb LEO services into its connectivity solutions, combining satellite, fibre and 5G technologies, to provide resilient backup connectivity for businesses, public administrations, municipalities and critical infrastructure operators across the country. The agreement builds on a longstanding infrastructure partnership, with MEO hosting Eutelsat’s ground station infrastructure for several years, supporting first its GEO fleet and now the OneWeb LEO constellation.
