The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) is a Washington D.C. based trade association representing the leading global satellite operators, service providers, manufacturers, launch services providers, and ground equipment suppliers. SIA is the unified voice of the satellite industry on policy, regulatory, and legislative issues affecting the commercial satellite industry including spectrum, regulatory, telecom, international trade, export controls, government procurement, national defense, homeland security and industry trends. SIA represents its members’ common interests to domestic and international government officials, the press, the public, and other industries. SIA’s work on issues undertaken by international bodies and various foreign governments creates opportunities to weigh in on global policy matters. SIA provides a forum to discuss issues, to develop consensus-based industry positions, and to engage key government decision makers.
