APSCC Membership is open to any government body, public and private organization, association, or corporation that is involved in satellite services, broadcasting, manufacturing, launch services, risk management or associate fields such as data-casting, informatics, multi-media, telecommunications, and other outer space-related activities with interests in the Asia-Pacific region.
APSCC membership is divided into five categories - Platinum, Gold, Regular, Affiliate and Individual - with different member criteria and benefits, each one created to suit the various needs of APSCC's diverse membership body.
Platinum members enjoy the highest benefits possible from APSCC Membership. Platinum members are granted to 3 votes at the General Assembly regarding important issues and matters related to the Council such as constitutional amendments and election of the APSCC Board members. Votes are guaranteed in accordance with constitutional guidelines.
Platinum members have the greatest opportunity to participate in the decision-making processes. They are eligible to be nominated for office positions, the duties of which include the establishment of guidelines, policies and priorities of APSCC.
For APSCC-organized events, Platinum members are entitled to discounts as well as complimentary full passes with the highest-priority speaking slot, a complimentary exhibit space at the APSCC Annual Satellite Conference & Exhibition and free advertising in APSCC publications.
Gold members enjoy the second-highest level of benefits from APSCC membership. Gold members are granted to 2 votes at the General Assembly. Votes are guaranteed in accordance with constitutional guidelines.
Gold members have the opportunity to participate in the decision-making processes on a preferential basis. They are eligible to be nominated for Office positions, the duties of which include the establishment of guidelines, policies, and priorities of APSCC.
Gold member are entitled to discounts at APSCC-organized events plus a complimentary pass, with a preferential speaking slot and free advertising in APSCC publications.
Regular members have the right to 1 vote at the General Assembly. They are also invited to all of the Council’s activities. Regular Members are eligible to participate in the decision-making processes. They are eligible to be nominated for Office positions, the duties of which include the establishment of guidelines, policies, and priorities of APSCC.
Regular members are entitled to discounts at APSCC-organized events with preferential consideration for a speaking slot. Also, they will be entitled to a free subscription and advertising discounts for APSCC publications.
The Affiliate Member category is available only for international organizations and associations with common goals and objectives related to the satellite and space related industries. The Board of Directors approves acceptance of the applicant.
Affiliate members have no voting rights with respect to APSCC policy or governance at the General Assembly or APSCC elections. However, they may attend the meetings and offer suggestions.
Affiliate members are entitled to discounts at APSCC-organized events, a free subscription to APSCC publications, advertising discounts, and a listing on the APSCC website displaying member’s logo and a link to the member’s official website.
The Individual Member category is restricted to academics, consultants and professionals (not being a firm, corporation or other entity) who are directly or indirectly involved with the satellite or space related industries with interests in the Asia-Pacific region. Individual membership is not open to a person from a profit-making entity employing more than 3 employees.
Individual Members are not eligible to be nominated for election to the President or the Board of Directors, the duties of which include the establishment of guidelines, policies, and priorities of APSCC. This membership category offers no voting right in the APSCC Meetings.
Membership, once approved, will be continuous until such time as a member has resigned or been removed from membership. APSCC members may withdraw from the membership by written notification to the President. Withdrawal will take effect by the end of the current year. Any withdrawing member must fulfill its membership obligation until the end of the current year. The APSCC members who fail to fulfill the fee obligation will lose their membership status upon approval by the Board of Directors.
